White Elephant Hotel Residences are being developed by the dedicated team at New England Development, which also developed the properties owned and operated by Nantucket Island Resorts.  Founded in 1978 by Stephen R. Karp, New England Development has become one of the premier real estate development companies in the Northeast.  Under Steve's direction, NED and NIR completely transformed The Wauwinet and the White Elephant making them the world class resorts that they are today.  These properties along with the Jared Coffin House, The Cottages at the Boat Basin and the Nantucket Boat Basin are managed by Nantucket Island Management (also an NED/NIR affiliate), which will be providing services to the White Elephant Hotel Residences.
